the Pitt Season 2, Episode 5 Ending Explained: What Happens to Louie?

It’s “11:00 A.M.” in season 2, episode 5 of The Pitt, and things are only getting busier in Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center’s emergency room.

While the betting pool for Westbridge Hospital’s unknown “code black” grows larger, the tension between Dr. Robby (Noah Wyle) and Dr. Langdon (Patrick Ball) is also brewing, especially as the estranged pair treat a returning patient together.

"There’s a lot of damage that has been left in his wake, and I think there's a lot of shame that he carries surrounding that," Ball told PEOPLE of his character ahead of the season 2 premiere.

He added, "I think there is a major conversation to be had with Robby.”

Elsewhere in the emergency room, one member of the medical staff deals with an exposure to a serious illness while another attempts to diagnose a patient. Meanwhile, as the hour comes to an end, a frequent patient’s life could be on the line.
