Noah Wyle Shares the Critique He Got from Healthcare Workers
From People Magazine Noah shares the critique he had gotten from other healthcare workers and putting it in season two!!
Noah Wyle is listening to healthcare workers when it comes to their feedback surrounding The Pitt.
The Emmy winner, 54, caught up with PEOPLE at the Rape Treatment Center and Stuart House Annual Brunch, in Los Angeles, on Sunday, Oct. 26, where he detailed the one piece of feedback from those in the profession that's since been incorporated into season 2 of the hit medical drama.
While the response from healthcare professionals has been "mostly overwhelmingly positive" after the show's first season, Wyle admits that there were some elements missing from the show. But not anymore.
"The negative was that we didn't have any respiratory therapists and we didn't have any physical nurse practitioners, so we rectified that," Wyle says. "They're going to be a lot of RTs and NPs in season two."
Aside from the inclusion of additional medical professionals, Wyle adds that those in the "front lines" have expressed "how accurate they feel" the show is to their realities in the field.
"They feel that it contextualizes the work they do to their families and partners who they can't often articulate it to," he says. "I don't want to articulate it, but they can nod their head when they say, 'Is that what you do every day? Have you ever done that before? Have you ever seen that before?' "
He adds, "I feel like that extra empathy it gives the support group around these workers is really invaluable."
Wyle hosted the annual brunch alongside fellow Emmy winner and The Pitt star Katherine LaNasa. They were joined by additional cast members including Shawn Hatosy, Sepideh Moafi, Patrick Ball, Supriya Ganesh, Shabana Azeez, Taylor Dearden and Gerran Howell, all of whom spotlighted the Rape Treatment Center and Stuart House's work and honored sexual assault survivors in the process.
